Squarespace users are falling behind the present video background trend.
Uploading a thumbnail image is nice and easy, but some of the suggestions we've seen on how you can force a video into a website banner via weird loopholes (that are problematic anyway) are way too complex!
So, we've created a couple of plugins that let Squarespace users install video backgrounds onto their websites easily. Our plugins mean that videos behave just like thumbnail images (don't overlay or hide any of your site's normal features). They're responsive, and will trigger a background image on iOS devices, which don't support autoplaying video backgrounds. We've even used these plugins around our own site (see homepage).
We've got some phenomenal feedback from these, and we're very glad to be meeting a significant need in the SS community.
